Hexadecimal values are comprised of the symbol “#,” followed by six digits, which make up a digital color. The first two digits in a hexadecimal color code represent the intensity of red. 00 represents the least intensity, and FF represents the most intensity. Likewise, the third and fourth digits represent the amount of green and the fifth and sixth represents the amount of blue. Combining the intensity of these colors creates any color imaginable.
An RGB color value is specified with: rgb(red, green, blue). The red, green, and blue are represented by an integer between 0 and 255. For example, to display the color blue, you would enter rgb(0, 0, 255). In this case, the blue parameter is set to 255, while the red and green parameters are set to 0.
