The Challenge
Law firms rely heavily on perceived authority and professional clarity. JFB Legal faced two distinct phases of challenges:
- Phase 1 (The Baseline): Getting a functional site live quickly in 2020 to ensure they had a professional home during the shift to remote legal work.
- Phase 2 (The Brand Elevation): Moving away from the limitations of WordPress.com templates. They needed a site that offered custom layouts, faster performance, and specialized ways to showcase their team of attorneys.

We transitioned the firm from a “standard” site to a high-end, custom-engineered legal platform:
- Design Mockups & Prototyping: Before a single line of code was written for the new site, we provided high-fidelity mockups. This allowed the JFB Legal team to visualize the site’s “vibe” – including typography, color palettes, and professional imagery – ensuring the final product aligned perfectly with their brand.
- Custom WordPress Theme Development: We built a lightweight, secure, and fast custom theme from scratch. This eliminated the bloat of their previous template and gave us total control over the user experience across all devices.
- Custom Post Types (CPTs) for Attorney Profiles: This was a critical functional upgrade. We built a custom “Attorney” post type that allowed the firm to manage their team profiles easily. This ensured every attorney page followed a consistent, professional layout (Bio, Education, Admissions, etc.) while being easy for the firm to update as they hired new talent.
- Lead Generation Architecture: We implemented strategic lead capture forms tailored for legal inquiries. We ensured these forms were both secure and user-friendly, directing potential clients to the right departments while providing the firm with the data needed for effective intake.
- Content Organization: We structured their practice area pages and insights to be easily navigable, helping potential clients find relevant legal expertise quickly.
