H&S Manufacturing

WebCitz started working with this client in 2021

The Challenge

H&S manufactures dozens of complex machines – manure spreaders, forage boxes, rakes, and mergers. Their digital challenges were substantial:

  1. Massive Technical Catalog: Migrating literature and sales specifications for an enormous range of heavy machinery while keeping the UI clean and intuitive.
  2. Legacy Data & Fulfillment: Their parts database lived in an in-house ERP system, disconnected from the web, leading to manual order entry and inventory lag.
  3. The “Right Part” Problem: For farmers, finding the exact bolt or sprocket for a machine built 10 years ago is difficult. H&S needed a way for users to identify parts visually to ensure 100% order accuracy.

The WebCitz Solution

We engineered a high-performance industrial platform that treats the website as an extension of their manufacturing plant:

  • Custom WordPress Migration (2023): We moved their entire web presence into WordPress using a fully custom theme built specifically to their in-house design team’s specifications. This ensured the site was brand-aligned, lightning-fast, and easy for their marketing team to manage.
  • ERP-Integrated WooCommerce Store: We launched a robust WooCommerce store that isn’t just a storefront – it’s a live node of their business. We built a custom integration that syncs directly with their in-house ERP system, automating order fulfillment and ensuring real-time inventory and pricing accuracy.
  • Interactive Parts Schematic Engine: This was the project’s “crown jewel.” We developed a massive, interactive parts diagram system:
    • Clickable Schematics: Over a hundred detailed part schematics where every component is an interactive “hotspot.”
    • Serial Number Correlation: Users can navigate diagrams based on their machine’s specific model and serial number range, ensuring the parts they see are the ones that actually fit their specific build.
    • Seamless Add-to-Cart: Clicking a part in the drawing immediately identifies the part number and allows the user to add it to their WooCommerce cart without leaving the diagram.
  • Literature & Asset Migration: We migrated thousands of pages of sales literature, operator manuals, and parts books, organizing them into a searchable, user-friendly digital library.

The Result

By 2023, H&S Manufacturing moved from a traditional “brochure” site to a state-of-the-art AgTech platform. The interactive schematic engine and ERP integration have revolutionized their aftermarket parts sales, significantly reducing support calls and ordering errors. The site now serves as a 24/7 self-service portal for farmers and dealers, backed by the industrial-strength reliability of our custom WordPress build.
