The Challenge
The Association of Hospital Anesthesiologists provides critical perioperative services for major medical centers in Northeastern Wisconsin, including ThedaCare and Children’s Wisconsin. With a massive team of physicians, CRNAs, and CAAs serving over 40,000 patients annually, they needed a website that could elegantly display a high volume of provider profiles. Their previous digital presence lacked the professional polish required for a premier medical group and didn’t offer an easy way for administrators to update staff information.

- Custom Design & Mockups: Before a single line of code was written, we provided detailed custom mockups. This allowed the AHA leadership to visualize the user experience and branding, ensuring the final product aligned with their reputation for excellence.
- Bespoke WordPress Theme: In 2017, we built a custom WordPress theme specifically for AHA. This theme was engineered for speed, security, and mobile responsiveness, providing a seamless experience for patients researching their care providers.
- Advanced “Provider” Custom Post Types: To manage their team of over 60 professionals, we developed Custom Post Types (CPTs) for their physicians and clinical staff. This allowed the group to easily categorize and display team members by role, ensuring that the “Meet Our Team” section remains organized and easy to navigate.
- Long-Term Managed Hosting & Maintenance: Since the launch, WebCitz has served as the foundation for their digital operations. We provide secure managed hosting and routine maintenance to ensure the site remains 100% available and protected against modern web threats.
The Result
The 2017 redesign transformed the Association of Hospital Anesthesiologists’ website into a high-functioning directory and resource hub.
