E-Series Exhaust

WebCitz started working with this client in 2013

The Challenge

The team behind E-Series Exhaust needed a dedicated digital home to launch their new performance line for Harleys. While they already had a separate corporate infrastructure for e-commerce, this specific site needed to be a high-impact “brand experience.” The challenge was to take a precise, high-fidelity design from their internal designer and build it into a functional WordPress site that was fast, responsive, and easy to manage – without using restrictive pre-made templates.

The WebCitz Solution

WebCitz acted as the technical development partner, bringing the designer’s vision to life through custom code:

  • Pixel-Perfect Theme Development: We built a 100% custom WordPress theme from the ground up. This ensured that the specific aesthetic of the E-Series brand – likely focused on power, engineering, and the Harley-Davidson lifestyle – was captured exactly as the designer intended.
  • Developer-to-Designer Collaboration: We worked closely with their in-house creative lead to ensure that the site’s animations, layouts, and typography perfectly mirrored their vision. This collaboration allowed the client to maintain full creative control while we handled the technical heavy lifting.
  • Non-E-commerce Lead Generation: Since the actual sales happened elsewhere, we optimized this site for product discovery and education. We built out high-impact galleries and technical specification sections to showcase the exhaust systems’ craftsmanship and performance gains.
  • Optimized Content Management: Even though the site was a custom build, we ensured the WordPress backend was intuitive. This allowed the E-Series team to easily update product information, add new media, and manage their blog as the product line expanded.
  • Performance Engineering: Just like a performance exhaust, a website needs to be fast. By avoiding “bloated” commercial themes and page builders, we created a lightweight site that loaded quickly and provided a premium user experience.

The Result

The launch of the E-Series Exhaust website in 2013 gave the new product line a professional, high-octane entry into the motorcycle market. By separating the brand experience from the e-commerce transaction, the client was able to tell a more compelling story about their engineering and performance. WebCitz’s role as the “pure development” partner ensured that the technical execution was as flawless as the initial design.
