The Challenge
Bringing a foreign CPG brand into the U.S. requires a delicate balance of maintaining global brand equity while appealing to the American consumer. The project faced several unique hurdles:
- Brand “Americanization”: The website needed to translate the brand’s European clinical heritage into a design language that resonated with American beauty enthusiasts and retail buyers.
- The “Waiting Room” Strategy: We needed to build a site that functioned as a high-end brand showcase initially, but had a fully configured WooCommerce backend “under the hood” that could be activated instantly upon inventory arrival.
- High-End Visual Standards: In the competitive skincare market, the UI/UX had to be flawless, emphasizing the product’s ingredients, clinical trials, and aesthetic appeal.
The WebCitz Solution
We engineered a scalable digital environment that prioritized flexibility and brand authority:

- Mobile-First Aesthetic: Understanding that skincare discovery happens largely on social media and mobile devices, we ensured the custom design was perfectly responsive, providing a luxurious experience across all screen sizes.
- SEO-Ready Infrastructure: We built the site with a clean code structure and technical SEO foundation, preparing the brand to rank for competitive skincare terms once the marketing push began.
The Result
While the external distribution channels ultimately fell through – a common risk in the complex world of international CPG – the digital work we performed was a technical success.
