As a brand with massive national visibility and partnerships with professional sports leagues, the Under the Weather® digital experience had to be flawless. Their challenges included:

- Advanced Shipping Logic Management: We helped architect the backend logic for their shipping rules. This involved ensuring that shipping costs were calculated accurately based on dimensional weight and geographic location, protecting the brand’s margins while providing transparency to the customer.
- Complex Promotional Logic: We implemented custom scripts and app integrations to handle advanced promotional offers. Whether it was “Spend X, Get Y” or time-sensitive seasonal sales, we ensured the logic was sound and didn’t conflict with existing discount codes or member pricing.
- SEO Implementation: Working in tandem with their external marketing agency, we served as the technical “hands” to implement SEO changes. This included optimizing metadata, improving site structure, and executing technical fixes that boosted their authority for terms like “sideline tents” and “weather pods.”
- Shopify Plus Support & Maintenance: For four years, we were the on-call technical department for their staff. From small styling tweaks to major backend troubleshooting, we provided the stability needed for a multi-million dollar e-commerce brand to thrive.
The Result
By the time the relationship concluded in 2025, Under the Weather® had a highly optimized, technically sound Shopify Plus platform that was ready for their next phase of growth. We successfully bridge the gap for four years, providing high-level engineering that their internal team eventually took over.
