WebCitz started working with this client in 2021
- Client: ADI Games
- Platform: WordPress
- Industry: Entertainment / Recreation
- Services: Maintenance / Support, Web Development, Web Hosting
The Challenge
ADI Games, a leader in regional bar game leagues and tournaments, operated on a legacy Joomla platform that had become difficult to manage and lacked the flexibility required for their complex data needs. Their business model – managing standings for volleyball, pool, darts, and other league sports – required a way to display rapidly changing results without manual data entry for every single game. The goal was to modernize the user experience and create a seamless, automated bridge between their local scoring systems and their public-facing website.
The WebCitz Solution
After several years of strategic consultation, WebCitz led a complete digital transformation for ADI Games:
- Joomla to WordPress Migration: We migrated the entire site to WordPress, providing a much more intuitive administrative backend that allowed the ADI Games team to manage content and tournament news with ease.
- Automated Standings Integration: Our developers engineered a custom integration to handle league data. The system allows ADI Games to record results locally on their computers, which then automatically push the data to an FTP location. The website then polls this data to instantly update standings and tournament brackets.
- Multi-Sport Management: We structured the site to handle various league types – including volleyball, pool, and darts – ensuring that each sport’s unique scoring and ranking logic was preserved in the digital display.
- Enhanced User Experience: We designed a clean, mobile-responsive interface so that league players could easily check their standings and upcoming match schedules from their phones while at the venue.
The Result
The new ADIGames.com represents a major leap forward in operational efficiency. By automating the results-to-web pipeline, WebCitz eliminated hours of manual data entry and provided the client’s players with near real-time updates. The transition to WordPress empowered the staff to take full control of their content, resulting in a more active and engaging platform for the local gaming community.
